As a Group Manager for the Engineering Technology Team, you will be a hands-on leader tasked with establishing and executing strategies across Milwaukee Tool’s power tool and equipment businesses.

Your team members will be working with highly cross-functional teams to make power tool solutions that change the lives of our users. In addition, you will be the expert in the frame-up and execution of technology investigations.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Company-wide owner of technical strategy by effectively leveraging, influencing, and lobbying supporting teams.

  • Effectively manage cross-disciplined teams in the development of new product technologies, and other general management and administrative activities.

  • Oversee multiple, concurrent projects to ensure delivery of investigations on schedule, on spec, and cost byestablishing priorities to ensure success.

  • Maintain a strategic cross-functional mindset by understanding how team and business decisions will impact the entire organization - Including supplier development, commercial executions, and manufacturing strategy.

  • Identify innovative and strategic opportunities while considering financial impact and competitiveness with the ability to effectively communicate to senior leaders.

  • Perform administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including pay administration, budget administration, development of employees, organization goals and objectives, and planning, organizing, integrating, and measuring the work performed within the department.

  • Able to effectively plan for Personnel capabilities and provide foresight for resource adjustments as needed by proactively maintaining succession plans to ensure team stability and employee well-being.

What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in any of the following: Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering ora closely related fieldfrom an accredited institution.

  • 12+ years of applicable technical engineering experience.

  • 8+ years of leadership experience.

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Master of Science in Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

  • Employ excellent problem-solving skills, exercise independent judgement, and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to provide sound guidance to the organization on future technical direction.

  • Experience in electronics hardware, firmware, microcontrollers, controller design, power electronics, robotics, sensors, and/or mechanics.

  • Familiarity withmachine learning model development, optimization, cloud processing, data storage, pipelines, and embedded environments.

  • Experience with the IP process including ideation, disclosure write-up, technical discussions with IP counsel.

  • Self-motivated, organized, efficient, process oriented with a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to present and defend methods and conclusions of the investigation process.

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time (domestic and international).
