Essential duties and responsibilities
Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise
Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, and recording all items received or distributed through a computer.
Will also assist in counting of physical inventory
Customer Service skills
Maintains a safe and clean work environment. Must sweep, dust and mop.
Organize warehouse and work area at all times
Wear the proper safety equipment such as work boots and gloves.
Requirements
Must be punctual, attendance is very important.
Attention to detail
Good communication skills.
Self motivated
Must have a flexible schedule, able to work nights.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to adapt quickly to a changing work environment
Must be experienced with the electric pallet jack.
Dependable and Reliable
Inventory, Equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
Physical demands and abilities
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
