Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Bronx, New York

Description

An immediate employment opportunity has become available for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to direct journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, clerical staff, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities

  • Business license and gross receipts summarizing

  • Assemble cash flow projections, as needed

  • List budget transfers

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Keep Accounts Payable up to date

  • Fashion cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

  • Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Capable in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Additional special projects if necessary

  • Lead Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Govern monthly accounting close

Requirements - Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

  • 5+ years of related experience- Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills

    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

    • Excellent oral and written communications skills

    • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

    • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Noteworthy accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

    • Comprehensive knowledge of Basic Bookkeeping

    • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

    • Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills
