Administrative Assistant (Bilingual Preferred)

EAC Network, a not-for-profit social service agency that empowers, assists, and cares for over 62,888 people in need through 100 programs across Long Island and NYC, seeks an Administrative Assistant to work full time for its Bronx Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC) program.

The Administrative Assistant Manager position is a non-exempt position paying $18-20 per hour at 35 hours per week. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM and the office is located in Bronx, NY. The role reports to Program Director.

Primary Purpose of Job:

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Bronx TASC Programs.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Program Directors and Supervisors in coordinating daily operations of the programs.

  • Answer, screen and direct phone calls, and perform receptionist function at Bronx program office.

  • Perform typing and general office duties.

  • Act as liaison between the program and EAC NETWORK Administration.

  • Assist in ordering and maintaining an inventory of office supplies.

  • Collect data and input into the database.

  • Maintain office equipment inventory.

  • Schedule appointments and answer correspondence for Program Directors and staff as needed.

  • Conduct toxicology screenings and generate reports on findings.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  • High School Diploma or educational equivalent required.

  • Minimum of two years prior work experience required, in an office environment. Not for Profit or criminal justice agency experience preferred.

  • Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.

  • General office skills required including a pleasant phone manner and good organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) BIG PLUS/HIGLY PREFERRED!!!
