Your day at NTT DATA

The Senior Platform Architect is an advanced subject matter expert, responsible for guiding long-term technology innovation for clients.

This role is responsible for taking lead on gathering client requirements and shaping fundamental solutions for the client based on the company's offerings.

This role interfaces with relevant business leadership/management to identify business opportunities, support strategic projects, and guide long-term technology innovation changes for clients.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

• Designs integration and automation of platform elements in the solution, manages vendors, and supports the transition to service delivery by providing technical architecture of applications and infrastructure (for example, workload, network).

• Drives Managed Services solution technical design aligned with our platform capabilities.

• Responsible for mapping client systems, applications, connectivity, platform (API, data, process) integration across all managed service solution areas and the approach to transition/transformation project data (consulting into management platforms).

• Acts as a technical portfolio subject matter expert for applications and technical applications and infrastructure architecture, DevOps, platform integration, and platform reference architecture.

• Responsible for technical design roadmap, client technical tooling, and providing input to the service and solution design to ensure such requirements are met.

• Contributes to the knowledge base of the company's development and services by sharing best practices with internal platform teams and client engagements.

• Creates client experience layer platform design (portals, business mapping, integration, reporting, and automation).

• Comprehends, captures and articulates the client's technical architectures, use cases and outcomes.

• Designs complex solutions that adhere to functional and non-functional requirements (including usability, reliability, performance, supportability, and security).

• Promotes and evangelizes the business benefits of our Managed Service Platform to the client, partner and business stakeholders.

• Translates client requirements and logical and / or conceptual designs into physical designs within the specifications and boundaries of an IT architecture.

• Promotes and maintains an environment of continual improvement within a development and delivery team.

• Leads the structured analysis and diagnosis of complex issues (performance, code, system defects, networking/hardware etc.).

Knowledge and Attributes:

• Advanced understanding of technical applications, infrastructure, integration architectures, cloud architectures, data and security integration practices, and devops.

• Advanced ability to lead technical design workshops with the client and internal business stakeholders.

• Advanced ability to design, manage and close a technical proof of concept on a vendor product.

• Advanced understanding of project management processes and methodologies.

• Expertise in cloud platforms (for example, Azure, AWS etc.) distributed systems, microservices architecture, and modern software development practices.

• Advanced understanding of system performances, security and scalability principles.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

• Advanced ability to lead technical teams and influence architectural decisions.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering or a related field is preferred.

• Certification and working knowledge of Cloud Architect Azure, AWS, CGP is preferred.

• Certification and working knowledge in Microservices (Principle, Patterns both greenfield and brownfield), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Access Integration (EAI) and Integration Patterns preferred.

• Certification and working knowledge with Cloud, Data Centre, Applications platform integrations, RESTful APIs, including JSON, XML and SOAP protocols is preferred.

• Certification and working knowledge with Software Development Lifecycle and tools, SAFe/Scrum/Agile methodology is preferred.

Required Experience:

• Advanced track record in the area of business analysis and platform architecture.

• Advanced experience with Service/Application/Infrastructure and Cloud Architectures, Microservice (Principle, Patterns both greenfield and brownfield), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Access Integration (EAI) and Integration Patterns.

• Advanced experience with Cloud, Data Center, Applications platform integrations, RESTful APIs, including JSON, XML and SOAP protocols.

• Advanced experience with Software Development Lifecycle and tools, SAFe/Scrum/Agile methodology.

• Advanced experience in and with all operational aspects of a services business, preferably with a global technology services organization.

• Advanced experience in the process of developing and implementing new services and systems.

• Advanced experience in working with and leading teams to design robust and commercially viable solutions for clients.

• Advanced experience in creating and delivering presentations on technical solutions for peers and clients.
