Main Responsibilities

The Analyst, Demand Planning will be responsible for providing analysis, demand forecasting, inventory management and preparation of the information needed for the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) Process. They will perform various functions, including quantitative analysis, cost benefit analysis, data mining, data modeling, Kinaxis forecast input, KPI Reporting, Constraint analysis, actualization of the Consumption/Shipment Models, etc. This position will work directly with the Manager, Demand Planning on specific brands and reporting needs. They will work cross functionally with Marketing, Sales, Finance and the Supply Chain to help aid in the IBP Process and proper forecasting.

  • Perform various functions within the Kinaxis tool, including, but not limited to NPI’s, forecast sku disaggregation for particular Brands, Maintain Pricing.

  • Drive Forecast Accuracy and Bias Improvements by preparing the reporting for all Brands, managing forecast expectations at the product/selling level, incorporating sku level statistical models, business insights, and marketing strategies in demand plan.

  • Performing strategic analysis, making parameter adjustments in order to increase forecast accuracy.

  • Aid Demand Team by preparing reports and data needed for the Consumption/Shipment Models each month for all Brands.

  • Support the companies long term strategy and inventory reduction while maintaining high Customer Service level metrics.

  • Provide timely and accurate item level forecast changes to the production planners.

  • Recommend improvements to boost performance and reduce costs.

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and other cross-functional teams to ensure strategies, tradeoffs, and plans are transparent and fully integrated into the Demand Plan.

  • Conduct collaboration meetings to assess the forecast accuracy, POS trending, effective inventory levels as well as shipment forecast.

  • Effectively utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to recognize problems and recommend alternate solutions.

  • Perform Ad Hoc reporting for demand analysis and operations and other teams as requested.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

Education

  • Bacehlor’s degree or 5 years' experience in demand planning, manufacturing, inventory control or analytics.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

  • Detailed oriented and extreme accuracy

  • Have an analytical mindset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft products Excel, Word and PowerPoint and adaptability to new software and systems

  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Good collaboration Skills

  • Self-motivated with a strong drive for achievement and working in a highly dynamic environment

  • Investigative approach to solving problems

  • The need to be challenged

  • Be an effective team player

  • Knowledge of Kinaxis/SAP preferred, or other ERP system a plus.
