Administrative Assistant - Division of Management & Education

Pitt-Bradford is looking for an Administrative Assistant for our Division of Management & Education. This is a full time, 12-month position that reports to the Faculty Division Chair. The Division of Management & Education contains academic programs in Accounting, Business Management, Computer Information Systems & Technology, Economics, Education, Hospitality Management, Information Systems, and Sport and Recreation Management.

Salary: $33,000 -- $40,000/year

Requirements: High school diploma/GED degree and a year's experience as an office assistant. Associate degree or higher in office management and one to two years' experience as an office assistant is preferred. Advanced computer literacy with spreadsheet and database experience. Ability to deal with multiple demands and numerous interruptions. Extreme attention to detail and editing skills.

Duties: Perform all clerical-administrative duties for the office, according to university policies and procedures - , including:

    • Analyzing and organizing office operations and interpreting policies and procedures.
    • Compiling, storing and retrieving operational data.
    • Preparing reports.
    • Assisting the Division Chair with completion of assigned duties/tasks.
    • Supporting the directors and faculty of academic programs within the Division.
    • Scheduling and arranging on-campus visits for prospective faculty.

Job Summary

Performs administrative and general office support work.

Essential Functions

-Interact with persons at all levels of the institution.

-Performs advanced level secretarial services.

-Work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to sit for long period; must be able to see, hear, and speak clearly; and must interact within the social and interpersonal environment of the division in a consistently coherent manner.
