About the role:

The Enterprise Data and Analytics Services (EDAS) Head of Enterprise Data Quality and Marketplace role is a global and strategic position directly accountable for the enablement and delivery of enterprise level Data Quality, Data Catalog, Data Security & Audits, Data Acquisitions and Data Marketplace services at Takeda. Join Takeda as a Head of Enterprise Data Quality and Marketplace where you will access across all levels of the organization with the ability to shape and decision making across the entire value chain - driving direct business value and experiences for our patients. As part of the Enterprise data and analytics Services, you will report to the Head of Enterprise Management and Innovation.

How you will contribute:

  • You will own the global and enterprise data quality and marketplace function and deliver the Enterprise Data Quality, Data Catalog, Data Security & Audits, Data Acquisitions & Marketplace Strategy globally.

  • Chair / Co-Chair the Enterprise Data Quality and Marketplace Steering committee linking business and IT leaders to a common Data Quality as a Service (DQaaS) and Marketplace strategy and program delivery. Leads discussion with AI/GEN AI team on enabling data quality & its framework for AI/GEN AI.

  • Head initiatives linked to global and enterprise-wide Data Quality (DQ), Data Catalog (DC), Data Security & Audits (DS&A), Data Acquisitions (DA) and Marketplace (DM).

  • Proactively identifies and solves the most complex data quality and data management problems that impact the management and directions of the business and decision affect the success of the programs and business.

  • Operate as a product, platform and capability owner across the DQ/DC/DS&A/DA and DM, including product roadmap, vendor/contract/budget management linked to solutions such as Informatica Data Management Cloud (meta-data management and cataloging / data quality/ data marketplace/MDM) and Immuta (Data Security).

  • Possess in-depth knowledge on functional areas and provide leadership to Takeda for Data Quality services across all domains at senior levels of the organization.

  • Influence Takeda leadership and external partners in the roadmap for data quality and marketplace and digital disruption and innovation driving business value.

  • Create and enable capabilities that can enable new business models to be activated across Takeda based on a best-in-class, trusted and compliant data management baseline.

  • Continuously improve and drive the team forward in providing data quality, marketplace and data-solutions delivery across a combination of solution architecture, data and API engineering and Analytics Solutions capabilities and toolkit

  • Develop KPI's and SLA's confirming that the Takeda Data Catalog and Data Services model is available, communicated, understood and utilized effectively in pursuit of business objectives and strategic vision.

  • Strategic leadership to enable a team focused on the delivery of data micro-services that address data access, data acquisition and ingestion, and data availability challenges that unleash the opportunity of a truly integrated data-fabric for Takeda.

  • Evangelize the vision to ensure Takeda remains connected and aware of the 'data layer', and related complexity, as the foundation to successful and autonomous data micro-services delivery: Master Data, Transactional Data and Data boundaries, data integration, micro-services connectivity/communication, usage patterns, timing and distributed systems impacts to name a few.

  • Directs and controls the activities of multiple functional areas, divisions, product or service groups.

  • Build and develop the 'A-Team' with directors and/or managers for Data Quality, Catalog, Security & Audit, Acquisition & Marketplace focusing on a Center Of Excellence (CoE) model within the Enterprise Data Services group

  • Head broad and comprehensive data management leading edge technology program with focus on enabling value to business stakeholders.

  • Domain knowledge of Data, Digital and Technology organizations preferably within pharmaceuticals or related industries

  • Track records in managing complex supplier and/or customer relationships

Leadership

  • Effectively lead and communicate with varying levels of management i.e. GDT/DDT Executives, GDT/DDT Project Managers, Supplier Representatives, etc.

  • Collaborative partner able to influence and drive accountability across organizational and domain boundaries

  • Advocates for needed change across the organization that add to our success.

  • Coordinate, manage and complete primary tasks and special projects with minimal oversight

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • Ability to make complex decision and support the enterprise strategy

Interaction

  • Interaction with GDT/DDT leadership, Legal, Finance, Procurement, Business Operations, etc. and externally with key suppliers

  • Own Collaboration with ICC (Innovation Competency Center) team and mature its operating model.

  • Capable of collaborating with teams both cross-functionally and remotely, across a wide range of time zones and cultures

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related or directly relevant field

  • Minimum 10 years of leadership experience with Data Quality, Metadata, Data security and Data Services.

  • Recognized as a thought leader within data quality and data management area globally with ability to solve the most complex business problems.

  • Expertise on Strategic and Data Management Transformation with global reach.

  • Has led broad and comprehensive data quality and data management leading edge technology program with focus on enabling value to business stakeholders.

  • Technical leadership experience with Cloud Technology (AWS), Informatica IDMC, Data Bricks, Mulesoft and AI/Gen AI.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$205,100.00 - $322,300.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
