Opportunity Overview

Reporting to the Head of Business Insights and Analytics, the Director of Customer & Market Insights is responsible for all market insights efforts by providing unbiased, objective, in-depth insights to inform business decisions to ensure the successful launch and growth of current and future products.

The successful candidate will drive product strategy by providing a holistic, objective, and analytical viewpoint of the market and opportunities through ongoing situational assessment and understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitor activities. The incumbent will collaborate through proactive thought partnership across Medical, Marketing, Sales, Managed-Access, and Patient Engagement and lead the market planning process.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Proactively identify and diagnose business questions, initiate and conduct market research, and deliver findings and recommendations to colleagues and leadership.

  • Design and execute in-depth market research (data vendor identification, analysis design, summary, presentation of results) to support brand planning and forecasting.

  • Work in collaboration with other Competitive Intelligence colleagues to understand current competitive dynamics through monitoring of competitor landscape via various channels and events.

  • Maintain industry awareness regarding market trends, competition, and product acceptance affecting the business and advise on adjustment in strategies and tactics.

  • Deliver market, customer, and product insights that are actionable for the team and support the achievement of company objectives and resource optimization.

  • Provides reliable and accurate analyses based on data provided to internal stakeholders to support decision making on key strategies (identification of gaps & needs).

  • Supporting execution of marketing strategy by ensuring that all research and activities are aligned with and executed in accordance with the larger corporate and brand strategic plans.

  • Oversee the organization and repository of all market research and competitive intelligence project insights.

  • Inform the brand planning process based on a deep understanding of the market, the stages of the patient journey, and stakeholder influences throughout the journey.

  • Ensure all marketing research activities are conducted in accordance with financial and ethical compliance guidelines.

  • Ensure all Compliance, Privacy, and Legal processes are adhered to and considered when purchasing, ingesting, and using data

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry with majority of experience in orphan drug/rare disease markets

  • Experience and progressive responsibilities in sales/marketing data analysis, statistical analysis, and forecasting

  • US and International experience with demonstrated ability to effectively work across cultures highly preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to details

  • Ability to synthesize and effectively communicate actionable insights via oral and written presentations to internal partners and senior leadership, including those with non-technical backgrounds

  • Expertise with different types of pharmaceutical datasets

  • Demonstrated success in managing numerous projects simultaneously

  • Thorough understanding of specialty pharmacy and orphan drug payor coverage challenges

  • Ability to travel as needed for Business meetings, Congresses & Market Research

    This role is based out of our corporate office in Boston, Massachusetts. Rhythm operates in a hybrid-work model. Candidates applying must be willing and able to be in the Boston office in coordination with their department and business needs. This role may involve some travel.

IMCIVREE® is the first and only approved therapy for certain rare MC4R pathway diseases in the United States, Europe, Great Britain and several other countries.
