What you’ll do:

Acts as a technical specialist for Buildings as a Grid (BG) customers to support ETDS growth objectives.

The primary function of the Senior Solution Architect is to provide design assistance and application support to the Eaton ET business unit, Country Sales Organizations (CSO), consulting engineers and channel partners and enhance the value generated for customers. Provide necessary safety precautions and calculations during front-end engineering design (FEED), quotation and pre-order stage, in accordance with company guidelines and procedures, to reach an acceptable solution for all parties involved on the complex technical questions.

The solution architect is the architectural leader in the region for Buildings as a Grid offering. She/he is in charge:

  • To lead the community of engineering applications in the countries, to provide them with training and to ensure their regular improvement in skills: Documentation To write various kinds of technical and commercial documents regarding design, testing, commissioning, and delivery, in line with general accepted standards in Engineering, in order to assure that the customer specifications are met upon delivery. Including “comments, deviations, exceptions” as part of the technical compliance of the project. To administer all relevant information according to the company’s guidelines, in order to assure timely availability for management and colleagues.

  • To define standard architectures integrating the different components of the Buildings as a Grid offer: Chargers, batteries, low and medium voltage electrical distribution, and associated digital solution

  • Support country sales forces in responding to complex and/or important calls for tenders and projects: Technical Reviews or writes specifications in tender phase and creates deviation lists and solutions together with other stake holders like. Customizes specialized BG systems according to client needs and documents required modifications to standard products. Advise on 3rd party or special equipment (material cost and labor/engineering efforts) in order to provide technical competitive solutions to Country Applications Engineers.

  • Responsible for the ""Buildings as a Grid simulator"" product: definition of the roadmap, specifications, and its use in the area.

Qualifications:

  • BSc. Electrical Engineering or related field

  • 10 or more years of experience in a similar positions

Skills:

  • Demonstrates good technical knowledge on power electronics and three phase electrical systems and solutions

  • Preferably in energy distribution, control and monitoring (IT/protocol such as ethernet, OCPP, RS-485), IEC standards, integrated solution design and development

  • Strong knowledge in electrical design and understanding of energy distribution applications

  • Technical sales aptitude: specifications and demands

  • Thinks and acts strategically

  • Promotes teamwork and collaboration

  • Analytical, autonomous, accountable

  • Good problem-solving skills and innovative thinking

  • Good written & oral communications skills in English (French or German is a plus)

  • Possess necessary computer skills including: Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, Internet applications, Microsoft Office applications, and other product configuration tools
