What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.
Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.
Job Description/Expectation :
Development Tasks – Deploy code changes within a time bounded assignments
Support/Sustain Task – Incident Management/Monitoring
Reporting Tasks – Able to deliver Daily/Monthly/Quarterly Reports
Expectations
Perform troubleshooting for reported incidents
Implement code-fixes/enhancements
Strong Knowledge on required technologies
Good communication skills
Provides strong out-of-the-box solutions to problems/issues
Job Requirements :
Required Expertise:
Extensive knowledge in Application Development (Java)
Expertise focused on Springboot or Angular
Advanced Troubleshooting Skills
IT Service Management System
Knowledge/Know-how needed:
Familiarity on Application/Web Development, Web Services (SOAP/REST API), Spring MVC, Angular
Databases(SQL), Servers Management
Required Exposure:
Excellent Communication Skills
Technology Required :
Primary Technology: Java, SQL, Web Services, Angular, Spring MVC
Secondary Technology: ServiceNow, JIRA, Jenkins, Git, Postman, GCP, PCF, Version Control (Git/SVN)
Good comprehension of Waterfall and Agile Methodology. SDLC
Minimum Years’ Experience : 5+ Years
Preferred Educational Background : (Optional)
- University graduate w/ Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering/IT)
