Canadian Tire Supervisor, Distribution Centre in Bolton, Ontario

What you’ll do

  • Provide front-line communications link between Crew Members and the Distribution Manager(s)

  • Assign tasks; provide regular coaching and performance feedback to Crew Members

  • Ensure consistent application of and adherence to all company policies and initiate any required corrective measures

  • Short-term resource planning and control based on predetermined guidelines

  • Act on resource plans produced by the Distribution Manager

  • Share resources with other Supervisors to meet operational goals

  • Perform process audits and suggest process improvements

  • Ensure safe work habits and performance of all Crew Members, upholding CTC standards

What you bring

  • Certified Designated Trainer (completion of 2-day Train the Trainer)

  • Dignity and Respect trained and acknowledgement of D&R policy

  • Chemical/WHMIS trained

  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proven experience in developing positive employee relations with an emphasis on creating and maintaining constructive working relationships within teams

  • Strong service quality awareness and commitment

  • Demonstrated priority and resource management skills

  • Flexibility with work schedule

  • Thorough knowledge of DCCS and mainframe systems (IMS)

  • Well developed analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
