Senior Business Planning Analyst

We're on the hunt for a Senior Business Planning Analyst to take charge of developing and administering our client’s financial planning systems crucial to business operations and reporting. In this pivotal role, you'll craft and manage models, including allocations, financial projections and analysis, actual reporting, and drive efforts to centralize forecasting processes across finance. Additionally, you'll serve as the go-to expert on planning tools, offering guidance to team members and implementing solutions to enhance and streamline business processes, ultimately adding significant value to the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the finance organization to devise a strategic tool application strategy and vision, leveraging your insight into finance planning processes.

• Work closely with the broader business organization and IT to centralize forecasting processes.

• Utilize end-to-end systems thinking to design, document, and execute solutions within the application to align with strategic and operational objectives.

• Offer in-depth, domain-specific analysis of technical issues, researching and proposing alternative actions for issue resolution.

• Provide support to end users for production issues and empower them to become self-sufficient in utilizing the application.

• Partner with IT to carry out system integrations and deliver ongoing business support.

• Drive tool adoption by leading education sessions and providing training to end users.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, information systems, or related field.

• 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, and/or reporting.

• Demonstrated understanding of FP&A processes and standard methodologies.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detail.

• Development experience with Hyperion Essbase, IBM Planning Analytics - TM1, SAP Analytics Cloud, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar applications.

• Proficiency in SAP, Hana, and SQL.

• Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Additional Notes:

We are specifically seeking an individual with system developer experience in Hyperion Essbase, IBM Planning Analytics - TM1, SAP Analytics Cloud, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar applications. We require expertise in system development.

Currently, we primarily utilize TM1, so proficiency in this tool is crucial. Knowledge of building cubes and understanding TI Processes is essential. A TI Process is used to pull, transform, and calculate data before it lands into a cube. For example, in a Project Enhancement scenario, if we're adding a new Element under Cost of Goods Sold, the ideal candidate should be able to comprehend dimensions, add the appropriate element, and adjust the TI Process accordingly to ensure seamless data transformation and integration into the cube.
