MUST HAVES:

• 4+ Years of Mechanical Design for HVAC or Plumbing

• 4+ years' experience in AutoCAD designing

• Proficient with building codes and guidelines such as NYS Energy Code, NYS Mechanical Code, NYS Building Code, and NFPA.

• Bachelor's degree required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• An engineering consulting firm with a well-established history is looking for a project engineer to join its team.

• The Project Engineer will be responsible for the engineering design of HVAC systems and the overall MEP engineering design, construction administration, and project management for several institutional clients.

• The role will require performing load calculations, site surveys, design reviews, preparing detailed engineering drawings and schematics, and conducting field inspections for MEP systems.

• The projects will be primarily for government and institutional clients, with a focus on HVAC/MEP design. The Project Engineer will be responsible for taking ownership of the projects from design through construction.

• To succeed in the role, the candidate should have 4+ years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering and a proven record of taking projects from design to finish.

SKILLS:

• Experience with estimating on projects would be a plus.

• EIT is a plus.

GROWTH OPPORTUNITY:

This role will allow the Project Engineer to own a project from conception to construction fully. The growth opportunities are great as they want to grow the team significantly. If the Project Engineer performs well, there is the opportunity for promotion to Sr. Engineer and beyond.
