Braun Intertec NDE Director of Business Development in Bloomington, Minnesota

Responsibilities:

  • Retain and expand existing business with key customers and grow new business with target accounts to achieve budgetary plans.
  • In collaboration with Braun Intertec and NDE stakeholders, develop a win strategy and execute on those prospects. Identifying teaming partners as necessary to comply with opportunity requirements.
  • Develop and manage the NDE Business Development team (outside sales, inside sales, etc.).
  • Meet with potential clients and business partners, including travel as necessary.
  • Identify opportunities from potential new clients that will lead to a proposal. Develop and lead proposal efforts.
  • Coordinate pricing strategies with NDE leadership team.
  • Utilize a CRM or database to manage accounts, opportunities, contacts, and activities information.
  • Collaborate and manage marketing activities. Participate in marketing activities including trade shows, webinars, demonstrations, etc.

Requirements:

  • A passion for identifying and winning new work and growing the business.
  • Ability to drive opportunities through direct efforts, collaboration with others, networking, and developing relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage existing network of established contacts and connections in the industry.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to showcase creativity and skill in presenting proposals and interview responses both internally and externally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Personnel management of direct and indirect staff including performance reviews, individual development plans, performance improvement plans, performance management plans, etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple responsibilities and excellent time management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Openness to engaging in "cold calls" to connect with potential clients.

Experience and Education:

  • 5+ years of business development experience working in NDE or related industries.
  • 5+ years of prior experience in a position(s) that utilized and honed all or most of the requirements listed.
  • Strong background in ground-floor selling and prospecting.
  • Two-year degree required, four-year preferred.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions: The duties of this position align with a role that requires physical activity consistent with standard office work and light field duty. This role will require work in an office environment as well as various construction and industrial environments. Candidates should have the ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. This role may require sitting for extended periods of time and may also require activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, moving about on uneven terrain, climbing ladders, and lifting or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Business travel up to 50% of the time that will include driving, flying, public transportation, etc. is required.
