Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in Bloomington, Minnesota

Description:

  • Accounts Payable Processing

  • Review invoice submissions to ensure approvals, receiving and general ledger allocation appears complete for processing.

  • Using the ERP system (Great Plains), input vouchers, process weekly check runs and distribute checks / electronically process payments to vendors.

  • Manage company P-Card program.

  • IRS Form 1099 Compliance:

  • Coordinate Vendor record maintenance in ERP, including ability to differentiate between vendors who are 1099 and non-1099 and to apply payments appropriately within the system to ensure proper taxation reporting at year end.

  • Expert knowledge of IRS tax regulations concerning 1099 vendors and which forms and category are appropriate for each type of payment.

  • Prepare and file all 1099 reporting at year-end.

  • Complete and review calculations of travel reimbursements, including knowledge of per diem rates and adherence to the Company’s policies.

  • Backup to Payroll - perform accurate and timely processing of the weekly/bi-weekly payroll from start to completion, to include processing payroll detail into the Workday Payroll system, reconciliation of payroll batches, and producing payroll management report requests.
