Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Paint Line Supervisor who will be responsible for managing the paint line operations within our manufacturing facility. Your expertise in paint application techniques, equipment operation, and team leadership will enable you to drive productivity, maintain quality standards, and meet production targets. By leading a team of painters and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will play a vital role in maintaining and advancing our paint line capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the paint line operations, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and productivity standards

  • Manage a team of painters, providing leadership, guidance, and technical support to ensure efficient and accurate paint application processes

  • Coordinate with Production Planning to prioritize painting tasks, schedule production runs, and allocate resources effectively

  • Train and mentor painters on paint application techniques, safety protocols, and quality control standards

  • Monitor paint line processes, inspecting finished products for conformity to specifications and implementing corrective actions when necessary

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to review paint specifications, provide feedback, and suggest process improvements

  • Maintain and troubleshoot paint line equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams for timely repairs and preventive maintenance

  • Monitor inventory levels of paints, coatings, and consumables, coordinating with Supply Chain teams to ensure availability and manage stock levels

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, driving operational efficiency and quality

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, actively seeking opportunities to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve quality and safety

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Paint Line Supervisor or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of paint application techniques, including spraying, brushing, and electrostatic methods.

  • Experience in managing and leading a team, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify issues, and implement solutions.

  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Familiarity with EPA & local compliance standards, proper waste disposal methods and SDS maintenance.

  • Familiarity with quality control standards and techniques for paint finishes.

  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment and following established safety protocols.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
