Job Title: Contract Invoicing and Credits Specialist

Robert Half is currently recruiting a professional and detail-oriented Invoicing and Credits Specialist for a 3month contract role for our client onsite location in Rockland County. The pay rate ranges from $24-$26 per hour.

Responsibilities include:

• Validating shipping information prior to invoicing to ensure accurate billing.

• Collaborating with freight companies to procure shipping costs.

• Ensuring all invoices are emailed to the correct address daily.

• Assessing returned goods, calculating appropriate credit for customers, and issuing credit memos.

We're also looking for a professional who can handle:

• Obtaining credit reports and keeping sales, representatives, and production control informed of potential issues impacting upcoming shipments.

• Collaborating with collections to avoid bad debt write-offs.

In addition, you will:

• Analyze general ledger exception reports and prepare journal entries to rectify any errors.

• Continually streamline functions, solve problems at their root, and document the corrective process.

• Reconcile assigned GL accounts every month, resolving and explaining any discrepancies found.

Requirements - 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired

• Billing experience preferred

• Strong familiarity with cash applications

• Credit Reports experience

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

• Great attention to detail

• Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

• Knowledgeable of ERP systems
