Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Supervisor to join our team.

Position Summary:

The IT Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the smooth functioning of all technology systems within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of healthcare IT systems and regulations, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Help develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA

  • Monitor and help maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, escalating as needed to ensure minimal disruption to patient care

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and implement solutions to improve efficiency and patient outcomes

  • Collaborate with external IT consultants on a routine basis regarding open projects

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending upgrades and enhancements as appropriate

  • Provide training and desktop support to staff on IT systems and best practices

  • Manage an on-site Technical Support Specialist

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management, preferably in a healthcare setting

  • Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, including EMR/EHR systems, PACS, and medical imaging software

  • Experience with healthcare compliance regulations, such as HIPAA, HITECH, and Meaningful Use

  • Proven track record of managing projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
