Core Responsibilities

  • Drive the standardization of automation platforms around the processing area.

  • As the OT SW Platform Owner, you will Identify and collect continuous improvement for enhanced efficiency, usability, and serviceability.

  • Drive and define platform activities to ensure growth and robust production in respect to novelties and element specific changes.

  • Provide technical mentorship for architecture - development and design of automation/software for equipment in collaboration with suppliers and mechanical designers.

  • Ensure modularity and adaptability for automation and mechatronics related technology for next generation of production equipment.

  • Support teamwork development of multi-functional team

  • Effectively engage partners and customers during and post the ramp up phase of new automation equipment.

Operational Technology – Automation & Robotics is key player for bringing the LEGO bricks in hands of the kids. The department drives the on-site installation, maintenance and production support to OT equipment and enabling the Automation & Digitalization ambition as a key player in delivering our ambitions.

You will drive Global Software roll out and implementation hand in hand with customers globally. We need you to bring expertise in structured text programming and preferably with knowledge from multiple suppliers like B&R and Beckhoff.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven experience in automation system programming and mechatronics application experience specifically in Allen Bradley, and/or B&R PLC system installation / troubleshooting experience (development, design, and PLC-programming) B&R component and Software knowledge

  • Expertise with Studio 5000 software and/or B&R Automation Studio-Experience in Ethernet/IP and/or OPC UA

  • Knowledge of other automation brands and the ability to assess strength and weakness between different solutions.

  • Proficient in English, working across time zones and with multicultural teams.

  • Hands on experience in functional safety – understand safety controller and electrical diagram design and trouble shooting.

  • Able to read and write equipment design requirements esp. electrical drawings.

  • Great teammate and understanding of multi-cultural environment.

  • Ability to see opportunities and challenge with an integrated view.

  • Basic IT bridge building competences as - Experience with DevOps principles like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), APIs (ReST, OData) would be nice to have.

  • Ability to travel 20 - 50 days a year.
