St. Luke's University Health Network Service Coordinator in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

The Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating input from our customers and staff members, including project stakeholders, for ensuring consistently high-quality service and response times. Performs a wide array of administrative duties to support Biomedical Engineering.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with the clinical team, staff and other department customers to ensure requests are handled accordingly and lead to the best results

  • Responds to customer inquiries and resolves or escalates them as appropriate. Obtains and evaluates all appropriate information needed to handle inquiries and any complaints concerning the department. Determines the priority of the call and dispatches the service request and/or escalates to department management as required

  • Accurately processes work requisitions, scheduled and corrective maintenance work orders, and enters new equipment into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Performs database maintenance as required. Produces and/or assists with standard daily/weekly/monthly reports

  • Assist and covers other department phones in the absence of support and meetings scheduled for Biomedical Engineering as needed

  • Manages on-call schedules and distributes as required.

  • Assist with managing department resources (equipment, vehicles, etc.). Orders office or other supplies as required. Assists in ordering equipment, parts, and scheduling vendors

  • Assists in the documentation of standards, policies, and procedures

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY DEMANDS:

Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; standing for up to 7 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; walking for up to 2 hours a day, 1 hour at a time. Seeing relates to general, near, color, and peripheral vision. Hearing as it relates to normal and telephone conversations.

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent required. Associates, Bachelors or military equivalent program preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

Three years of administrative experience, preferably in a hospital environment preferred. Computer skills required.
