JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Mgr. Global Wellbeing manages Marriott International’s global TakeCare initiatives. TakeCare provides Marriott’s global associates with resources focused on the pillars of physical, mental, and financial well-being. This role partners to support the strategy and program development within Marriott’s holistic wellbeing pillars around physical, emotional, and financial wellness. The Sr. Manager will use best practices, data, insights, and trends to design and implement innovative strategies and curate content to support Marriott’s commitment to putting people first and supporting associate wellness. This Sr. Manager in an integral part of a team to develop and execute the most effective global health and wellbeing initiatives.

This person has a passion for well-being and has experience in public health and wellness. This individual will be a visible key partner in bringing the TakeCare brand forward among Continent above property partners, on-property Executive Committee and HR teams, and TakeCare Champions. This individual will support the presentation of the TakeCare vision and key initiatives across the global organization. The Sr. Manager will think creatively and action accordingly to curate programs, content and collaborate effectively with different groups including the Associate Communications + Engagement team, Learning + Development team and other HR Centers of Excellence to implement TakeCare promotions.

Additional efforts include group presentations and socialization of ideas and plans as well as gathering of feedback from key stakeholders globally, including Continent leaders, HR leaders, TakeCare Champions, Global Communications partners and on-property executives. This team member will have a natural passion and experience organically developing and implementing health and wellness programs for a diverse population.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Lead large scale global well-being campaigns and programming to over 300,000 associates.

  • Establish an annual global wellness calendar including all resources and toolkits to support physical, emotional and financial wellness, and ensure programming consistently delivers against priorities and adds value to today’s and tomorrow’s associates.

  • Design and develop physical, emotional and financial wellbeing programs and resources to support annual calendar, incorporating feedback from key stakeholders globally.

  • Create, implement and track engagement strategies for our 12,000+ global Champions so they may successfully activate Marriott’s wellbeing strategy, and promote TakeCare programs and resources at properties so associates can prioritize their own well-being.

  • Oversee annual TakeCare certification process including the design, scoring and presenting of applications.

  • Create and implement well-being survey’s to measure and drive future wellness activations

  • Effectively present insights (written and verbal) to key stakeholders throughout the organization to more broadly utilize the learning and add value across the company.

  • Identify trends using Marriott data to assess wellness program utilization and effectiveness, using qualitative and quantitative research and recommend improvements to continually evolve efforts.

  • Determines how change impacts stakeholders and communicates concerns to leadership.

  • Makes complex decisions by collaborating with others, seeking and sharing information with others, identifying and evaluating alternatives, and involving and gaining support from key stakeholders.

  • Leads a collaborative process with teammates and COE partners to creatively position and promote wellbeing programs and resources to drive engagement most effectively at all levels (e.g., leaders, TakeCare champions and associates).

  • Proactively seeks and evaluates emerging trends, innovations, competitive practices, policies and resources to support physical, emotional and financial wellness. Creatively curates’ health and wellbeing education and promotional materials incorporating behavioral science and change management to help improve the health and wellbeing of associates.

  • Leverage internal resources and external partnerships, including benefit vendors and resource groups, such as the Business Group on Health to gather insights and advocate for resources to support Marriott associates.

  • Strong vendor management to help create and execute the TakeCare strategy and programs.

  • Sets and tracks goal progress for self and others, communicates key milestones and deadlines, breaks down barriers to accomplishing work and goals, and ensures timely completion of work.

CANDIDATE PROFILE: EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • You have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health or wellness related field.

  • You bring 6+ years of experience in employee wellbeing, public health education, health + wellness benefits or related field.

  • You have extensive experience activating wellness programs focused on physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing.

  • You have a strong understanding of how wellness is engrained in a Company’s culture and will bring insights to ensure our programs meet the needs of our associates and organization.

  • You have demonstrated success managing and empowering others in a fast-paced, complex organization.

  • You have a proven ability to influence others and consult leaders and other business partners, forming strong and reliable relationships.

  • You have experience taking a vision and putting it into action.

  • You have demonstrated experience curating and delivering health education to diverse populations.

  • You have a passion and experience for creating a healthy workplace and inspiring individuals to find their best health and wellbeing for their individual goals.

  • You are able to build and maintain key internal customer and external partner relationships by analyzing partner needs through soliciting, evaluating and acting on feedback.

  • You can apply past experiences to identify alternative solutions for current problems and are able to understand and adjust to changing priorities, circumstances, direction, and personal styles.
