JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the professional staff, contributes general knowledge and skill in a discipline area (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Resources, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) to support team and/or department objectives. Generally, works under close supervision or within well-established guidelines to complete routine tasks.

Specific Job Summary

Provides project accounting support in assigned areas and/or for assigned projects with minimal complexity/financial risk.

 Performs the following types of basic tasks: analysis, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, programming, research, report generation, and software integration.

 Responds to, solves, and makes decisions on standard/routine business requests with limited risk.

 Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.

 Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:

 utilizing technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes.

 establishing priorities for self and, where appropriate, others.

 allocating own time effectively to meet goals in a manner that does not disadvantage other associates or groups.

 contributing to department/unit budget as appropriate (i.e., input, following guidelines, etc).

 Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.

 Performs other duties as appropriate.

Specific Expected Contributions

a. Complete accurate and timely project set-up in the financial systems (PeopleSoft)

b. Monitor and review project costs for accuracy and make applicable adjusting entries.

c. Support Team Leader in process improvement opportunities to drive consistent tools and processes by using technology.

d. Ensure projects are billed in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with owner/contractual requirement.

e. Pursue collection of project accounts receivable balances.

f. Review applicable sales, use, VAT or withholding taxes and basis to ensure taxes are accrued and paid in accordance with government regulations.

g. Prepare and issue timely and accurate project status reporting to management on a periodic basis. Complete timely and accurate project closeout activities in conjunction with Project Management in accordance with contractual requirements.

h. May include limited interaction with owners and other project/department management.

i. May compile and review account reconciliations for accuracy and resolve reconciliation issues for assigned projects.

j. Requires moderate to high level of supervision and coaching.

k. Recommend areas in which processes may be optimized and/or improved.

Specific Candidate Profile

Education/Experience

 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Accounting/ Finance major a plus)

 0-2 years professional experience

Key Skills

 Strong PC skills: proficient in Microsoft Office products

 PeopleSoft software experience preferred.

 Basic knowledge of accounting and auditing principles preferred.

 Strong interpersonal and oral/written communications skills required.

 Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

 Ability to work independently.
