Job Description

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.

• Provide technical leadership to an agile team.

• Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision.

• Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse.

• Collaborate with product owner and architect to understand requirements / user stories and end user system usage scenario(s).

• Part of the agile scrum team participate in the BDD automation of user stories, in sprint software testing, quality metrics adherence. Accountable for the Definition of Done for user stories.

• Prepare verification plan, execution tracker, regression analysis, verification DHF for the NPIs.

• Ensure test coverage and automation code quality and maintainability.

• Develops new procedures and drives continual improvement of the testing process at the team level through participation in Test Workgroup and Community of Practice.

• Raise defects for product non-conformance. Report out defects in products & design. Verify defects once fixed.

• Prepare test plans, setup required for test execution and demonstrates ability to analyze test results.

• Accountable for adherence to QMS procedures and deliverable, defect leakage targets and process improvements in collaboration. Coach and mentor junior SDET-Software Development Engineers In Test.

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 7 + years of professional experience in software testing.

• Hands-on experience in BDD -Behavior Driven Development automation of backend services (Behavior Driven Development / JBehave / Python / Cucumber / Java / REST)

• Expertise on automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Karma-Jasmin, Protractor, etc.

• Expertise on Adoption of BDD Methodology like cucumber, JBehave, behave, etc.

• Expertise on atleast anyone programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, , etc.

Desired CharacteristicsTechnical Expertise:

• Exposure to IAAS , PAAS & SAAS automation pipelines.

• Expertise in one or more scripting languages like python, working knowledge of Linux.

• Expertise on API or Service level Automation like Rest Assured, SOAP, etc.

• Proficient in functioning in an Agile team

• Working knowledge of Containers & Virtualization Technologies including Dockers and Kubernetes.

• Working knowledge of technologies used for Continuous Integration/Continuous Development & Continuous Testing.

• Knowledge of measuring performance KPI’s, throughput, responses, etc. using JMeter, Load Runner, etc.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leader

• ship with confidence and clarity Ability to work with global teams, including time-zone flexibility Working knowledge in configuration management and defect management tools (ALM/Rally/ClearQuest)
