The Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC) is looking for ATE (Automated Test Equipment) Hardware Engineer. This individual will work in a team environment to design and develop automated test equipment solution’s for testing wide variety of Line Replacement Units (LRUs) across diverse Avionics products. He should be able to develop and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements. Designs hardware, software and interface specifications. Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements. The candidate should possess strong technical acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, Suppliers, Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Position Overview

The Boeing Company is seeking upon Experienced Electronics System Design Engineer. Boeing India Engineering oversees the design, development, manufacture, integration and testing of LRU designs for various Avionics systems. This position is located in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Extensive knowledge and experience in analog/digital/power supply circuit designs and analysis.

• Excels in developing test cases and performing tests to ensure LRU system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

• Expertise in selecting the various test instruments including different platform hardware’s like VPC, VME, cRIO, PXI/PXIe, Power Supplies, DMMs, Analog, DIO, and network switches.

• Proficient in developing Test requirements, Test cases/strategies and ATE requirements.

• Experience in Hardware testing and ATE verification/validation for test requirements compliance & error analysis.

• Experience in Leading the team of testing engineers to ensure deliveries adhering to safety, quality and on schedule.

• Comprehend and utilize various product design and test documents including product level requirements, Interface Control Documents, TRD Test Requirements Design, Qualification Test Plans, etc.

• Exposure to Aerospace standards like DO-160, DO-254, DO-178 and product compliance/qualification testing.

• Troubleshoot diverse instrument hardware and Units under Test (UUTs) effectively.

• Familiarity with communication interfaces like RS-232, RS422, Ethernet, GPIB, SPI, and I2C.

• General knowledge of Mass/high density interconnects solution’s relating to High speed digital interfaces, RF interfaces etc.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

• Bachelor's in engineering degree or higher

• Minimum 8yrs to 11 Years or more years' in Electrical Engineering experience

• Experience with analog/digital/power supply circuit designs and analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Around 8 to 11 Years of Experience in Hardware Testing and STE development.

• Extensive knowledge in design and Development of automated test equipment’s solutions for testing avionics LRU product lines.

• Experience in writing Test requirement Documents for various application at system and LRU level.

• Experience in analyzes, validate and translates test requirements into test system designs and interface specifications.

• Proficient in designing and implementing hardware solutions for the precise measurement of various sensor interfaces like wheel speed, temperature sensors (RTDs, Thermocouples), pressure sensors, flow sensors, RSLV, LVDT, etc.

• Proficient in designing and implementing hardware solutions for the communication protocols like IEEE-488, Arinc664, Arinc429, Arinc818, Arinc825, MIL-STD-1553, Arinc717 etc.

• Knowledge across avionics product lines like Flight management, Auto-flight, Network, Cabin and Display systems.

• Experience in developing automated test scripts and understanding of LabVIEW, NI Test Stand, & NI software tools for test automation and development.

• Experience in developing VISA and IVI based instrument drivers for precise instrument control and measurement.

• Experience in performing EMI/EMC compliance tests and trouble shoot to suggest effective solutions

Typical Education & Experience:

• Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 8 to 11 years' experience, Master's degree with 6-10 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, Electrical Engineering experience. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
