Solidworks Electrical Designer

Description:

To effectively perform in this role requires:

• Experience with Solidworks for electrical design.

• Working knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring diagrams

• Detailed technical interaction with mechanical designers, sales, vendors, manufacturing, and customers to define all requirements of a control system to meet the intended equipment performance and customer requirements.

• The detailed specification of electrical components and circuitry.

• Development of electrical schematics detailing all aspects of the control system.

• Defining component layout within enclosures and labeling requirements.

• Creation and maintenance of bill of materials.

• Willingness to complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated application of engineering principles

• Experience in control system design for industrial equipment.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and / or EPLAN.

• Experience with PLC programming, C# preferred.

• Experience in HMI and PC configuration

• Experience with PID process control and monitoring

• Experience troubleshooting and de-bugging hardware and software.

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

• Experience with variable frequency drives.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

· 5-10 years of experience with Solidworks Electrical

· Must be able to accurately generate engineering and technical drawings with minimal input using CAD

· Possess the ability to work in several directions simultaneously

· Prior experience in or knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes.

· Prior experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing
