AMD together we advance_ Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to Research, design, develop, and/or test operating systems-level software, compilers, and/or network distribution software for semiconductor operations, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Plan, design, develop and/or test software systems for software enhancements and new products. Set operational specifications and formulate and/or analyze software requirements. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Exercise wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments. Participate in code reviews, creating unit tests, authoring detailed documentation related to your work, and working with on-site and offshore teams to deliver the software solutions on schedule. Partake in all phases of the software development including system requirements analysis, coordinating feature design and development across functional and organization boundaries. Profile and optimize the SOTA Language models on the latest AMD graphics hardware. Explore and integrate multimodal models to understand situational context from multiple modalities like image, audio, video, 3D landmarks for gaming use cases. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products. Multiple openings. Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role. Specific skills required: The following skills are required: Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following: Deep learning frameworks (Pytorch, JAX, TensorFlow, or Keras); Python or C++; Git and Docker; Software debugging; Code optimization using GPU or software performance analysis; Train and evaluate natural language processing models; Deploy and scale Machine learning models; Machine learning cloud services (Google cloud, AWS - Sage maker, Lambda, S3, or ECR); and Agile Methodology & Software development lifecycle (SDLC). #LI-DP1 At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
