Grant Thornton LLP is seeking multiple Managers - Tax Reporting and Advisory (TRA) to run client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects and managing to budget. Review tax returns completed by staff and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities. Conduct primary review of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements. Research and consult on various tax matters. Utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters. Prepare responses to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities. May supervise, train, and mentor senior associates, associates, and interns on tax projects and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews. 10-20% travel to various unanticipated client locations across the U.S. May work remotely. • Degree type required - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related, or the foreign degree equivalent. • Years of experience - 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Tax Accountant, Senior Associate, or other alternate acceptable occupation. • Relevant certification - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required. • Relevant experience - analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and U.S. corporate income tax laws and regulations; corporate income tax and strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills and provision audits; statutory income tax compliance and consulting including state and local income taxes, taxation of international activity; tax software and technology including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Thompson Reuters OneSource Tax Provision, and Gosystem; supervising, training, and mentoring associates and peers on tax projects and assessing performance of staff for annual engagement reviews; and reviewing tax returns and workpapers prepared by staff for accuracy and completeness. • Ability to travel as needed. 10-20% travel to various unanticipated client locations across the U.S. Submit resumes for Manager - Tax Reporting and Advisory (TRA) (110464) via: https://www.grantthornton.com/careers.aspx
