Nike Digital Accessibility Project Specialist (GameOn Program) in Beaverton, Oregon

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Digital Accessibility Project Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of digital accessibility standards and best practices, and a commitment to creating inclusive digital experiences. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE:

The GameOn experience aims to transition skills and insights from sport and lived experience to the corporate setting. Throughout the 12-month long role, you will receive on-the-job experiences within our Digital Accessibility team and work with a variety of leaders to build the future of sport through accessible technology.

Examples of project work may include:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, development, content, and QA to ensure that accessibility standards (including screen readers, keyboards, and other assistive technologies for people with disabilities) are integrated into all phases of digital product development.

  • Deliver content and technical features to make Nike Training Club and Nike Running Club accessible for all, including for athletes with disabilities

  • Provide regular reports on project status and other key metrics to senior management.

  • Support training sessions on digital accessibility best practices and disability inclusion to internal teams.

  • Champion accessibility within the organization and promote awareness of the importance of inclusive design.

This is a 12-month experience with relocation assistance. This experience – as well as full-time positions – are located in-person at the NIKE, Inc. WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrable experience, education and training.

  • Passion for digital accessibility and a commitment to creating inclusive digital experiences.

  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges created by barriers to digital accessibility.

  • Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), ARIA, and assistive technologies.

  • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, Wave, JAWS, and NVDA.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban).

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
