Aerotek CNC Machinist in Beaverton, Oregon

Job Duties

  • CNC machinist will perform set ups, adjustments, and troubleshooting on various machine tools and ensures parts are made to print.

  • Operates departmental equipment when machines are not available for set up.

  • Assists Lead Person in trouble-shooting problems with programs, tooling, fixtures, and out-of-print parts.

  • Checks critical dimensions of parts using CMM, QC gauges, and other measuring instruments.

  • Performs First Article Inspections using applied understanding of Geometric Dimensions and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Qualifications

  • Experience performing set ups and operation on either CNC mills or CNC lathes

  • Able to read, understand and follow work instructions.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Intermediate blueprint reading and strong shop math skills required

  • CNC programming experience is a plus

Shifts

  • Shifts are either Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday with openings on both day and swing shift, plus shift differential
