This contract Payroll Manager role requires that you work in all aspects of payroll operations (vendors, systems, processes and integration). You will complete timely, exact, and compliant payrolls, as well as streamline processes and provide remarkable customer service. This long-term contract / contract employment opportunity is based in the East Metro area of Minnesota.

What you get to do every single day

• Taking the lead on pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures, as well as troubleshoot anomalies

• Produce all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs, in addition to explaining pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensuring proper amounts/deductions are applied to earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws

• Provide internal safeguards by taking the lead on record keeping and control systems

• Perform thorough analysis on payroll

• Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis

• Create and maintain a team of 8

• Accomplish goals with other members of senior Finance leadership team

• Review and improve current processes by recommending, leading, and working on projects

• Support payroll staff as well as operations

• Oversee internal and external audits

• Relay information and data to senior executives and cross-functional business leaders and reply to any questions Requirements - Previous Payroll Management experience

• Capable of working with a range of payroll-related cloud-based technology solutions

• Well versed in a range of payroll applications

• Excellent oral and written communications skills

• Solid understanding of workday

• Full Cycle Payroll experience
