Atlantic Health System CT Scan Technologist, Full Time, Bayonne in Bayonne, New Jersey
Responsible for producing X-Ray and CT images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. Interprets a physician's scanning/exam instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing, and operating the CT scan and x-ray equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
Principal Accountabilities:
Interprets CT and X-Ray Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
Operates CT scanner and X-Ray equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).
Evaluates CT scans and X-Ray images for technical quality.
Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
Start IV lines on outpatients prior to any contract exams.
Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.
Treats fellow employees in a respectful and professional manner.
Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to QA, stock maintenance, and customer service recovery.

Required:
Accredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Associate's degree in applied science in Diagnostic Radiology.
Current CT license.
Current BLS certification.
2+ years of CT experience
