Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Adjunct Faculty - Aviation is located in the Division of Technical Education. This is a part-time position, and is open for recruitment.

COMPENSATION:

Salary: 1 credit = $833.33

Dates/Times - Day, night and weekend classes; various times available

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of work experience within the field of study and aviation maintenance work within the past 5 years. Also, FAA Mechanics license with Airframe and Powerplant Rating. Five (5) years of experience in aviation industry maintenance training and/or quality control/assurance department will suffice for 10 years maintenance experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Aviation Flight/Maintenance/Management and Inspection Authorization.

Job Concepts

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for teaching courses as assigned. Adjunct faculty may teach in the evening, weekends, online and dual enrollment courses as needed. Faculty are expected to support the institution's mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies. Adjunct Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching discipline Adjunct faculty report directly to the academic program manager and/or department chair within their respective departments and divisions. Teach Aviation Airframe, General, and/or Power plant courses.
