Position Summary
This position is responsible for manufacturing Straight Interior cabin monuments and components as instructed by the supervision or management on: Cabinets, Credenza, Vanity, Galleys, Toilets, Bulkheads, Doors, Decors, Tables, Seats and Divan components. You will also work actively and in good intelligence within the Cabinet Shop Team.
Main Responsibilities
Apply Edge filler process, Panel Pins & Inserts potting process
Install drawer-slides, hinges, latches and other hardware in subassemblies
Prepare surface materials for Hard Laminate (i.e. Formica) or wood veneers application
Perform basic assembly operations in accordance with appropriate documentation (drawings)
Perform basic assembly operations on straight monuments and other wood-surfaced subassemblies using basic 2D design/engineering drawings, notes, instructions and process specifications
Cut different materials (i.e. Honeycomb panels, Lexan mirror…) to proper dimensions per 3D & 2D engineering drawings
Perform basic dis-assembly operations on monuments and other subassemblies before finishing processes
Dispatch of components and parts for finishing and treatment processes
Assemble parts as per drawings using adhesives and fasteners using basic 2D design/engineering drawings, notes, instructions and process specifications
Bond Aluminum/Wood blocks on/into composite sandwich panels
Assemble pins and glue cabinet shell kits arriving from CNC machine
Installs drawer slides, hinges, latches and other hardware in subassemblies
Cut and apply materials such as Hard Laminate (i.e. Formica) or wood veneers with glue spray gun in order to cover surfaces of cabinetry
Cut and bond moldings on straight monuments
Fabricate various accessories for cabinets, manufactures templates, use templates, and install equipment in specific cabinets
Educations Requirements
Knowledge in reading and understanding 2D basic manufacturing drawing.
Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math computations.
Handles aerospace materials and uses appropriate tools.
Experience in aviation industry is an advantage.
Cabinet Maker apprenticeship with appropriate educational qualifications or Basic Cabinet Maker diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
Personal drive, Self-motivation & Self-discipline.
Highly flexible.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to work and stay calm under pressure.
Possible computer skills in MS Office.
Good communication skills in English, German and/or French is beneficial
