Hyatt FRONT OFFICE MANAGER in BARCELONA, Spain

Description:

The Front Office Manager is responsible for leading and supervising the daily operations of the front desk department at Hotel Sofia Barcelona, Hyatt. This role plays a key part in creating exceptional experiences for our guests, ensuring high-quality service, and seamless operational efficiency in the reception area.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Supervise and lead a team of receptionists, ensuring a positive and motivating work environment.

Provide ongoing training for staff development and ensure compliance with service standards.

Operational Management:

Coordinate daily front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, reservation handling, and room assignments.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient communication and a seamless guest experience.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service by proactively addressing guest needs and expectations.

  • Resolve problems and complaints effectively, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Reservation Management:

  • Oversee reservation management, ensuring accuracy of information and room availability.

  • Optimize occupancy and revenue through effective room assignment and pricing strategies.

Financial Control:

  • Collaborate in the preparation and management of the department budget, ensuring efficiency and cost control.

  • Participate in the implementation of strategies to enhance revenue and profitability in the reception area.

Regulations and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all hotel policies and procedures are followed, including safety and quality standards.

  • Stay updated on industry hotel regulations and norms.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in supervisory roles in the front desk area, preferably in the luxury hotel industry.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.

  • Deep knowledge of hotel management systems and advanced skills in office software.

  • Customer-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Availability to work flexible hours based on the operational needs of the hotel.

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (oral & written)
