We are working on Cisco’s Next gen Silicon One based product line 8000 Series which is one of the most successful routing products in Cisco. The 8000 Series is a product line that leverages the Silicon One architecture. It was introduced to provide a new foundation for the Internet for the 5G era, with a focus on performance, efficiency, and sustainability. The 8000 Series routers are designed to help service providers and web-scale companies reduce the costs of building and operating mass-scale networks for the 5G, AI, and IOT era. It is a unified, programmable architecture designed to serve anywhere in the network from the web scale data center and the 5G network edge to the enterprise access point. The Silicon One architecture is intended to be scalable, flexible, and efficient, providing high bandwidth and low power consumption.

Who You will work with:

You will be part of Cisco's fastest growing product in Distributed systems routing group that promote new methodologies and builds scalable software solutions. We are looking for multiple expert Software Engineers who can strive in a dynamic start up like environment, work with an expert and diverse team, participate in architecture design, software, and tools development across geographies.

What will you do:

• We are a diverse team, you will play an integral part in software development process and can be flexible, quickly learning new skills and taking ownership for tasks and features.

• We will be solving new problems and tackling new challenges every day, with a focus on quality and attention to detail, supported by a team of fellow engineers to deliver new functionality and improvements to our customers.

• We will be developing a new feature or a fully automated test, investigating a problem, or using our test tools to ensure that our software is always high quality. Technology that you work in could be in Programmability, Routing Infra, etc

Who you are:

We are looking for a Technical Lead with 12+ Years of expertise developing L3 forwarding applications/features around IP/MPLS/SR/SRTE/LDP/RSVP-TE/L3VPN,

Required Skills:

• Design, Develop, Automate, and Complete new HW or Features across complex Network Architectures using C/C++ language.

• Define and qualify End to End / Solution Architectures, engage in debugging complex network problem and define solutions.

• Deep understanding of networking protocols and different L2/L3 to L7 technologies.

• Expertise on Network automation, algorithmic thinking and Analytics applications derived from customer use cases.

• The knowledge of Service provider, data center technologies and architectures, VMs and virtualization technologies

• Experience in all phases of SW development cycle with some exposure to agile development methodologies.

Desired Skills

Excellent code solving skills, familiarity with Linux and modern software tools and techniques for development/debugging and validated software design and development skills.

Automation experience with Python, GO, Tcl, REST, JUnit, Jenkins
