The Role

  • Experienced on cisco technologies like Cisco Nexus Switch, Routers and Fortigate WLC.

  • Hands on experience on network routing protocols like TCP/IP, IDS/IPS, VPN, IPSEC, GLBP, HSRP, BGP, CDP, STP, VTP, NAT, PAT, ISL, VLAN, WiFi, PBR.

  • Hands on experience on Fortigate FW and ASA.

  • Experienced in Fortigate WIFI and AP.

  • Good knowledge on BGP routing protocol.

  • IT process knowledge of availability, Change, Incident, Problem & Capacity Management.

  • Maintain documentation in line with the network solution implemented

  • Maintain connectivity maps of the LAN/WAN environment detailing the connectivity and type of communication medium deployed

  • Record changes in the documents maintained on-site.

  • Maintain location wise details of all Links(MPLS)/ILL and other circuits.

  • Monitor, manage and control configuration aspects like IP address, subnet mask.

  • Maintain configuration details and files of all routers/switches in the network.

  • Maintain a repository of the IOS images standardized for the LAN/WAN environment.

  • Perform backup of configuration files periodically or as and when changes are effected.

  • Perform monthly secondary link fallback testing.

  • Perform periodic usage and bandwidth analysis and recommend to Customer any upgrades or consolidation required

  • Log tickets with hardware OEM/AMC partner for failed hardware and coordinate for replacement as per OEM/AMC partner SLAs/Contract

  • Re-configure, rebuild network devices during crash recovery or configuration changes.

  • Monitor existing IOS and patches and manage IOS upgrades

  • Configure and manage access list

  • Based on Customer’s IT security policy provided during transition, the following would be implemented during transition:

  • Configure authentication protocols that are available in Cisco IOS (like AAA)

  • Configure user authentication through TACACS/RADIUS servers or locally

  • Implement user access privileges

  • Implement encrypted password management mechanisms on all supported devices

  • Maintain and administer network elements and devices on the NMS

  • Implement VPN tunnels, if applicable

  • Configure VLAN Trunking Protocol or Spanning Tree Protocol or both for a manageable switch if applicable

  • Configure Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) if applicable

  • Configure Inter-VLAN routing or multilayer switching if applicable

  • Configure and maintain SNMP parameters

  • Configure NAT and other routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF and EIGRP if applicable

  • Perform administration for network authentication servers,

  • Network devices are configured as per customer technical specifications

  • Troubleshoot Network and connectivity related issue impacting the application availability

  • Quarterly User ID review

Who You Are

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • Candidate should have 8 to 10 Years of experience in LAN/WAN and Security.

  • Certified in CCNA or Fortigate firewall.

  • Willing to work in Shifts 24*7 from Client location.

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:

  • CCNA/CCNP certification.
