Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks an experienced and motivated cleared professional for a Staff (A05) Contract Administrator to join the Advanced Systems Operating Unit (OU) contracts team within the Advanced Mission Capabilities Business Unit. The successful candidate will be a direct report to the Advanced Systems OU Contracts Manager. It will work closely with the OU leadership team, including program management, business management, operations, capture managers, and other functional teams. This position will be on-site in Linthicum, MD, and supports a 9/80 Work Schedule (every other Friday off!).

What You Will Get to Do:

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Act as primary interface with customer for contractual issues; Monitor contract and associated program to ensure contractual obligations are communicated and understood.

  • Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment per company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

  • Work to develop solutions to routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.

  • Review terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification, and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

  • Prepare and manage written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.

  • Ensure timely delivery of all contractual deliverables and submitting invoices, proposals, and data calls.

  • Ensure contract requirements are fulfilled, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of relevant directly related experience, or Master's degree and 13+ years of directly relevant experience. Will consider 19 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Strong technical acumen in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and Adobe

  • In-depth knowledge of FAR/DFARS and demonstrated experience with different contract types.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to make recommendations and effectively bring projects to completion.

  • Must have capable & effective proposal development skills, excellent negotiation skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must have an active Secret security clearance, with the most recent periodic investigation completed in the last 5 years.

  • Ability to travel occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance

  • Experience in the Aerospace Industry

  • Extensive DoD Contracting experience with USG and Prime customers

  • Experience working restricted programs, proven ability to work in closed program areas.

  • NCMA Certification (CPCM, CFCM and/or CCCM)

Salary Range: $130,100 - $195,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
