Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologist TheUniversity of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences is seeking a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologist. The Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologist will be responsible for providing expert evaluation and treatment of gynecologic and reproductive health issues in pediatric and adolescent patients. Reporting directly to the Vice Chair of Subspecialty Gynecology, the role includes overseeing program development, expanding interdepartmental clinical operations with the Department of Pediatrics, and enhancing outreach initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of national trends and best practices in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and a demonstrated commitment to medical education and research. This individual will also actively contribute to advancing research opportunities for students, residents, fellows, and faculty. Expected rank is Assistant Professor or higher, however, rank and tenure status is dependent on candidate's qualifications. Duties and Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the Department Chair and Vice Chair of Subspecialty Gynecology to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for expanding subspecialty gynecologic clinical, educational, and research activities * Attend Grand Rounds, division meetings, and other departmental activities * Participate in Annual OBGYN Clerkship Preceptorship of University of Maryland School of Medicine students * Enhance and develop clinical and didactic residency training curriculum in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology * Expand the Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology referral base from among the UMMS hospitals and surrounding primary care and gynecologic practices of the DC-Maryland-Virginia region * Participate in pediatric multidisciplinary clinics * Participate in Gynecology call coverage * Unrestricted medical license in the State of Maryland prior to the start date * Board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology with an MD, DO, or MD/PhD * Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology * Meets all criteria for credentialing and privileges * Demonstrated commitment to clinical care * Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology preferred UMSOM offers competitive compensation and comprehensive suite of benefits including 403b retirement, health, dental, vision, life, malpractice, paid vacation, CME leave and allowance, relocation assistance, and more.
