EXACT STAFF Facilities Maintenance Technician in Bakersfield, California
We are seeking responsible, skilled Facilities Maintenace Technician, for a well-known Bite Size Potato Company in Arvin, CA. As General Facilities Technician, you will perform skilled maintenance, repair and construction of facility buildings plus supporting equipment. The position requires experience in multiple trades and craft. The technician will have to operate forklift and other plant machinery. Overall maintaining the aesthetics and function of the plant facilities to function and display the tasteful selections pride.
Shifts available: (Must be available for overtime and weekends as needed)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain proper operation of cold storage doors.
Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed
Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities
Organize and inventory stock supplies and parts
Change of all filters for HVAC as required
Remove and properly dispose of all recycled materials
Change light bulbs, interior and exterior, as needed
Maintain departments c-train clean and orderly
Assist in collection of trash, pallets and machine parts, as needed
Close work orders when job is complete
Keep tools and equipment issued clean
Use PPE and follow companys GMPs
Ability to safely use common power and hand tools
Strong communication skills with department leadership
Self-starter with good time management skills
Help and assist others in completing tasks
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
Attention to detail
Ability to operate a forklift efficiently
Ability to work with your hands
Basic math and design skills.
Bilingual
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
1 - 2 years journey-level experience in one or more trades areas preferred.
