System One is actively recruiting for a Construction Manager for a long-term contract position located in Becker, MN.

This resource will be providing Construction management at the Sherco Solar site in Becker, MN. Resource is expected to report to the site 5 days per week, per diem provided.

Once the resource is proficient, the project, in its later stages will move into management of battery backup systems; these are all prepackaged units that will be installed.

Construction Manager Responsibilities:

• Preconstruction support with project management, including drawing and spec reviews, contract/submittal reviews as well as additional front end pre planning work.

• Providing oversight of installation of utilities and internal private utilities; Mass grating, SWIP implementation and inspections.

• Responsible for providing oversight and inspection of installation including underground wiring, in addition to management of the construction team who will install additional internal utilities, which is likely going to consist of two additional inspectors under this person.

• Responsible for weekly and daily communication; reporting/communicating with hiring leader and project management.

• Resource is also responsible for general site safety against SP implementation and maintenance.

• Will work collaboratively with other construction managers, project managers, inspectors, construction contractors and other site staff.

  Construction Manager Daily Responsibilities:

• Involve a mix of project oversight, team coordination, and communication.

• Meet with inspectors and the construction team to discuss daily objectives, focusing on any critical tasks such as mass grading or utility installations.

• Review construction drawings and specifications, ensuring that all team members understand the project requirements.

• Check contract and submittal reviews, addressing any issues that may have arisen. Provide updates to the hiring leader and project management regarding progress, challenges, and any adjustments needed for the project timeline.

• Oversee the installation of city utilities and internal private utilities, ensuring quality standards are met.

• Conduct inspections of ongoing work, including underground wiring, to confirm compliance with safety and engineering specifications.

• Manage and mentor the two additional inspectors, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance for their tasks.

  Requirements:

• MS Office and SharePoint.

• BlueBeam/PDF viewers.

• Experience with renewable experience with battery backup knowledge.

• 7 years of project management, technical knowledge in Construction,

• Communication and coordination skills, leadership and mentorship skills and quality and safety assurance.

  Location: Sherco in Becker, MN

  Pay Rate: $70.00/hr. with OT and GSA per diem for location

  Work Hours: Monday-Friday 10-hour days (Min of 50 hours per week)
