We are looking for an experienced and strategic Parts Purchasing Manager to join our team and lead our procurement operations.

Job Description:

The Parts Purchasing Manager will oversee all aspects of parts and materials procurement for our aircraft maintenance and repair operations. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in parts procurement, inventory management and rotable components management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement purchasing strategies to source high-quality parts and materials at competitive prices, ensuring timely availability for maintenance and repair operations.

  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to ensure reliability and quality.

  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels, accurate record-keeping, and efficient inventory turnover.

  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all purchased parts and materials comply with FAA regulations and company standards, maintaining thorough documentation and certifications.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the purchasing team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the purchasing budget, monitor expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and quality assurance teams to understand parts requirements and ensure seamless operations.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze reports on purchasing activities, inventory status, supplier performance, and budget adherence to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) preferred.

  • Proven experience in a purchasing or supply chain management role, preferably within the manufacturing or service industry.

  • Knowledge of federal regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
