Real Estate Analysis Division GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Creating affordable housing is challenging work and TDHCA needs an experienced Systems Analyst III to be a key contributor in the successful implementation and ongoing support of a new Salesforce-based software system. This software will modernize how TDHCA administers, underwrites, and awards federal funding to build safe, affordable multifamily housing for low-income Texans. The Systems Analyst role serves as the liaison between TDHCA, their external customers, and the software development vendor, ensuring that the system is developed according to specifications and meets the organization's requirements. The responsibilities will extend to reviewing requirements documents, system design documents, and test plans provided by the vendor. Post-implementation, the Systems Analyst will work on defect triage, bug fixes, and the development of additional functionality as needed, continuously improving and optimizing the system to support evolving business needs. SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Implementation Process: -Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives for the new Salesforce-based software system. -Provide expertise and guidance during the implementation process to ensure alignment with organizational goals. -Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure that system design meets business needs and best practices. Review Documentation and Plans: -Review requirements documents, system design documents, and test plans developed by the vendor to ensure completeness and accuracy. -Work closely with stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve any discrepancies or ambiguities in the documentation. -Provide recommendations and feedback to the vendor on areas for improvement or enhancement. Defect Triage and Bug Fixes: -Serve as the primary point of contact for identifying, prioritizing, and resolving system defects and issues post-implementation. -Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to conduct root cause analysis of defects and implement effective resolutions. -Ensure timely resolution of critical issues, minimizing disruptions to system functionality and user productivity. Additional Functionality Development: o Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements for additional system functionality or enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives. -Design and develop new features or functionalities within the Salesforce environment, adhering to best practices and coding standards. -Conduct thorough testing and validation of new functionalities before deployment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes. Option for hybrid work environment. The position will be a hybrid position, mostly remote, but applicant should be located in the Central Texas area. May be required to be present in the Austin office or at other designated work events, venues, trainings, or presentations as needed. Interviews will be in-person at the Austin office. Qualifications: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree. Certifications and/or college coursework in project management, computer science, and/or computer applications information systems. 5+ years full-time experience performing computer systems analysis work, requirements gathering for software applications, and project coordination for business applications. 3+ years experience working with Salesforce Service Cloud. Preferred Salesforce Certified Administrator or Certified Advanced Administrator. 2+ years experience with agile develo ment processes. Background working with various software as a service (SAAS) project implementations KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of the limitations and capabilities of computer systems, the techniques used in the design of non-automated systems, information technology equipment, applicable programming languages, computer hardware and software, computer operating systems, writing program code, and automated mapping. Skill in solving problems; in scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing programs; and in troubleshooting computer systems. Ability to analyze systems and procedures, to write and revise standards and procedures, and to communicate effectively. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Ability to gather requirements and prepare requirements statements done through user interviews, observing job performance and/or performing the job in order to determine an automated solution. Ability to participate in cross-department sessions for requirements definition, system appraisals and process re-engineering, and to assist in publishing the results for both technical and non-technical staff. Ability to review, evaluate and test software and document findings to technical and non-technical staff. Ability to communicate with staff on how to use software in a clear and effective manner PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Typical office work environment. Must be able to use computer for long periods. OTHER: Must be willing to work in a non-smoking environment and adhere to all applicable Department policies and procedures. Must be willing to work overtime if necessary which may include nights and weekends. Must attend work regularly and adhere to approved work schedule.
