Job Description

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Senior Product Compliance and Nutrition Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the commercialization process for Whole Foods Market private label products. Responsibilities include working with suppliers to complete product specifications, generating pack copy reports, reviewing product labels for regulatory compliance, and ensuring label claims are substantiated. The Senior PCNA will also contribute to the claims strategy process by providing nutrition benchmarking recommendations and providing regulatory guidance. In this role you will work closely with stakeholders from a variety of other teams including Sourcing, Product Development, Commercialization, and Quality Assurance.

This role is located in Austin, TX at our Store Support HQ and requires being on-site a minimum of three days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Whole Foods Market private label products comply with regulatory requirements and Whole Foods Market quality standards.

  • Collect substantiation for product claims and verify that claims are truthful and not misleading.

  • Provide label information to the Commercialization team for artwork development.

  • Review packaging during art development to verify the accuracy of the final label including consistency with the product specification.

  • Assist the Team Leader in implementing business strategies and initiatives.

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    This role requires a bachelor's degree as well as a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a regulatory compliance role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have a good background knowledge of FDA, USDA and FTC regulations applicable to food labeling, excellent written and verbal communication skills, enjoy working collaboratively on teams, have the ability to manage multiple projects while delivering timely results, and be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

    Registered Dietitian credential is a plus.
