We are seeking a talented and motivated Security Support Engineer to advance Amazon’s Corporate Identity and Access Management initiatives. You will support programs that deliver new and innovative approaches to securing access management on a massive scale and provide direct support to business owners across the company

Key job responsibilities

• You will drive security related operational initiatives in a security-first, enterprise scaled environment

• You will develop requirements for corporate IAM adoption efforts, and support Amazon’s Corporate Identity and Access Management initiatives.

• You will investigate IAM anti-patterns and determine remediation steps where necessary

• You will contribute towards scripting and security tool development efforts

• You will own security metrics delivery and improvements

• You will directly support Security Engineers by contributing research for IAM security reviews and initiatives

A day in the life

• This role will drive remediation of known security issues.

• You are responsible for working directly with customers to assist them with adopting new security products or adjusting their platform configuration to comply with the latest security standards. An exceptional candidate will be able to identify issue trends and apply automation to drive bulk remediation's.

Basic Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development, or 4+ years of technical support experience

• Experience scripting in modern program languages

• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems

• Experience in agile/scrum or related collaborative workflow

• Experience troubleshooting and documenting findings

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of distributed applications/enterprise applications

• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system

• Experience analyzing and troubleshooting RESTful web API calls
