ResponsibilitiesThis team member must provide consistent, timely, and reliable communication between all project stakeholders including: clients, professional service providers, university personnel, and contractors, to ensure that projects are thoroughly documented and understood.Provide excellent customer service to meet client needs and meet University Design and Construction StandardsMaintain project files and records. Submit reports during weekly section scheduling meeting and, as required, to management and campus clients. Provide updates in work order system and save project documents and photos to electronic file for all assigned projects. Maintain up-to-date project reporting to support PDC management and University requirements.Manage delivery of facility projects executed by in-house shops, contract open order labor, and associated campus/contracted support. Develop project plans, specifications, and schedules for assigned projects. Responsible for managing scope, schedule and budget for multiple, concurrent projects.Prepare estimates and client authorization letters to obtain funding from campus and internal sources for assigned projects. Perform site inspections and constructability reviews to produce accurate labor and material estimates.Serve as PDC's primary point of contact for assigned projects. Provide timely communication of project progress and issues to stakeholders and maintain positive work relationships with division staff, campus clients, service vendors, and contractors. Coordinate with other campus service providers for required support.For smaller projects not requiring design, manage projects throughout their life cycle, including defining scope with client; preparing working drawings, as required; and overseeing shop performance of requested work.Support project managers on Project Management and Planning teams in execution of projects by in-house shops, including verifying work performed and informing the project manager of any changes in scope, schedule, or budget.Participate in final inspections, including identification of punchlist items. Distribute punchlists to team members and ensure that all punchlist items are complete before project is closed out.Drive UT vehicle in support of campus facility projects and special events. May serve on committees, task forces, etc. to improve project delivery. Attend management-directed meetings and training. Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the University and Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC).
