Job Description

Successfully manage complex contracted and self-performed construction projects

Create, steward, drive project schedules, solving critical paths and communicating roadblocks and capable to influencing and resolving site issues

Manage contractors effectively, efficiently and safety

Develop and maintain site logistics and execution plans

Direct work in field, track changes, etc. both individually and leading a larger team

Work with engineering teams to resolve design roadblocks strategically

Ensure installation meets end users requirements and quality expectations

Schedule and lead quality control and all necessary inspections such as with city, vendor and/or internal teams

Coordinate tool install move-in, anchoring and utilities hook-up efforts

Verify contractor/subcontractor work, submit daily and/or weekly status report to site Construction Manager

Supporting commissioning team with punch closing, testing, energization, and start-up efforts

Identity issues early and mitigate risks effectively

Understand project specific plans, drivers, and construction specifications

Organize, track and receive materials, equipment, coordinate on/off loads as needed.

Interpret construction drawings, fabrication details and installing manuals.

Facilitate city and 3rd party special inspections with AHJs to ensure timely use of occupied spaces

Provide clear, concise direction to trades helping prioritize efficient build-out

Coordinate trades to sequence work adequately

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

8+ years of experience managing construction projects in manufacturing/industrial environments involving process pipe and mechanical systems

Ability to evaluate drawings, create biddable work packages and validate contractor bids against cost/schedule estimates

Evaluate, negotiate and process change orders, submittals and RFIs

8+ years of experience driving the execution of construction projects in manufacturing/industrial environments

Ability to evaluate multidisciplinary drawings and coordinate cross functionality to ensure on-time execution

Evaluate and develop fragnet schedules to aid in accelerated completions

Understanding of interdependent utility integration; e.g. completed wet-mech systems include installed, wired and calibrated devices

Experience with equipment rigging, installation, startup and utility qualification

Familiar with code compliance and building occupancy

Ability to read, interpret, and manage changes to:

Architectural and finish plans and specifications

Framing and wall type details

Civil and structural plans and specifications.

Mechanical and electrical, instrumentation and controls systems

3D Modeling and CAD Files

Willingness to spend a high percentage of time in the field and to get hands dirty as needed to complete objectives or find the correct information

Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals

Excellent written, verbal communication, presentation, and organization skills

Confident in decision making ability and coordinating among key stakeholders null
