TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION Executive Assistant (Hybrid) in Austin, Texas

WHO WE ARE: The mission of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is to promote and support a workforce system that creates value and offers employers, individuals and communities the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity. To support our mission, we are seeking to fill an Executive Assistant II position to join the VR Field Services Delivery Department. This position located at 1117 Trinity Street but eligible for a hybrid work schedule or may qualify for a hybrid work schedule.

You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Executive Assistant II is selected by and reports to the Deputy Division Director of Field Services Delivery. The EA II works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment and performs advanced (senior-level) professional administrative and technical assistance to the Deputy Division Director of Field Services Delivery.

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: -Coordinate calendars, meetings, and conferences; develops trip itineraries and presentation and handout materials; coordinates travel for an executive(s). -Complete expense and mileage reports for an executive(s). -Prepare and/or proof for accuracy various documents, including correspondence, memos, meeting notices and agendas, charts, presentation slides, handouts, forms, and spreadsheets. -Greet visitors, answers and screens phone calls, takes messages, and sets up conference calls for an executive(s). -Provide input into developing and revising administrative policies, procedures, standards, and methods, and provides guidance and interpretation on policies and procedures. -Communicate objectives, tasks, and decisions to staff on behalf of an executive(s). -Perform related work as assigned.

YOU QUALIFY WITH: -Graduation from an accredited high school or successful completionof GED certification, plus six years of full-time experience in aresponsible position which provided thorough knowledge of agencyprograms and services; business management practices, clericaladministration and procedures; or experience in organizing andcoordinating support services or program operations which includedanalyzing work problems and interpreting complex policies andprocedures. -Fifteen semester hours of accredited college work may be substituted for each six months of experience.

YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH: -Experience in administration management. -Skilled in organizational planning and development. -Experience in working with persons with disabilities.

This position involves up to 10% travel (method of transportation is the responsibility of employee) and the ability to lift/carrying 20 pounds.
