This Austin, Texas area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role. To succeed in this role, you will need to be comfortable participating in compliance, interacting with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. You might be our ideal candidate, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives

• Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

• Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

• Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks Requirements - Be detailed, flexible, and organized

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• ERP system experience

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Expertise in Corporate Accounting

• Strong familiarity with Corporate Accounting

• Month end closings experience
