Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Service-Learning Projects by coordinating service-learning projects for students during the LIC and cultivating and strengthening relationships with Community-based organizations (CBOs).

  • Facilitate student placement into appropriate programs.

  • Act as a liaison between the School of Medicine, CBOs, and follow up on communication throughout the year.

  • Oversee service-learning concentration projects and presentations in collaboration with the LIC leadership team.

  • Collaborate with One Health Institute, Colorado State University (CSU) College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMB), City of Fort Collins, and Larimer County faculty and leadership to design and plan the elective.

  • Manage logistical arrangements and ensure presence during classroom sessions.

  • Collect and analyze student feedback as part of the continuous quality improvement (CQI) process with CSU faculty team.

  • Assist in organizing shadowing experiences and provide training to students through the One Health Lessons leader program.

  • Coordinate community teaching opportunities and evaluate the effectiveness of the pilot project for adjustments in subsequent years.

  • Foster new relationships to support evolving One Health curriculum and projects.

  • Participate in and contribute to the overall One Health Trail teaching and learning experiences including didactics, self-directed learning, clinical or community experience coordination, etc.

  • Facilitate comprehensive orientation for course directors covering content, scheduling, assessment, grading, and organization.

  • Ensure high-quality, current, and easily accessible course materials, schedules, and other content align with educational objectives.

  • Act as a resource and maintain effective communication with students, administrative staff, and faculty.

  • Ensure awareness and understanding of competencies and learning goals among teaching faculty and students.

  • Identify and support faculty development initiatives for preceptors and liaisons.

  • Adapt or develop curricula and delivery methods based on changing needs and requirements.

  • Review course evaluations annually and provide constructive feedback to faculty for improvement.

  • Ensure timely submission of grades and refer students facing academic or personal difficulties to appropriate support services.

  • Maintain a professional learning environment conducive to student success.
